Since the beginning of the “radio” era we have been exploring a part of the Electromagnetic Spectrum. Due to recent developments we are able to extend the practical use of the spectrum to far over 100 GHz.
Altough the same “rules” apply, when we raise the frequency, we have to take a lot more phenomena into account. That is why “Microwave Technology” is often considered as “black art”, but it is fun!! During this talk I will take you into the fascinating world of cm and mm waves. A true 122 GHz setup will be demonstrated.
