Meshtastic (https://meshtastic.org/) is "An open source, off-grid, decentralized, mesh network built to run on affordable, low-power devices” you can use for your IoT or other connected devices or, e.g. to build a pager that will work even when all other communication networks are down.

In this workshop, sponsored by DIVD, you will be building your own Mashtastic pager with decent components that, unlike some devices from certain dubious sources from certain countries, will not explode (we hope, but won't guarantee).
All parts will be available in limited supply in the tent at a pay what you want/can policy, if there are any proceeds they will go to DIVD.
Please bring your own laptop if you can to flash and configure the device.
