2025-08-11 –, Workshop Giotto
Language: English
Are you between 8 and 14 years old and want to learn how to use technology to build your own smart home, burglar alarm, or weather station? Then this CoderDojo workshop is perfect for you!
During this workshop, you’ll get hands-on with Codecraft, a block-based programming language (similar to Scratch, but more powerful!). You’ll use it to program an Arduino microcontroller and connect various Seeed Grove sensors to measure temperature or detect intruders.
👨💻 What will we do?
Learn how a microcontroller works
Program in Codecraft
Create your own project such as:
* A burglar alarm
* A smart lighting system
* A weather station
And of course, we’ll test everything out in real life!
🎒 What should you bring?
* Your own laptop (Windows or Mac)
* Install the free Codecraft software beforehand via this link: 👉 https://ide.tinkergen.com/download/en/
Are you younger than 10? Bring along an older helper who can assist you
🧠 No programming experience? No problem!
We start from scratch. If you’re curious, enjoy building things, or have ever worked with Scratch before, you’ll fit right in!
Session will be given in english but we talk dutch, french and spanish as well.
