Nicolas Lymbouris
Life long contributor, supporting shaping the infosec space for more than a decade, from all people, process and technology perspectives. Strong community and people advocate - as the fundamental element to getting anything right - including cyber security. And, all the challenges that come along with it :-).
By day, helping organizations (and the community!) to build knowledge and capabilities in information security at Base Cyber Security. That means multiple hats; not as cool as the WHY2025 bucket hat - but, any ciso, security engineer, soc lead, offensive project lead, security product owner, or security advisor type of hats. Most of the times multiple hats worn at the same time. By night, doing the same, along with a bunch of (ever growing) hobbies ^_^ but who isn’t! Always pitches in where possible to get amazing events like WHY2025 off the ground, and as successfully meaningful to all, as possible! The SecTalks Holland community, the longest (? 7+ years), above ground security monthly meetup is another one.
Overall mission: to leave this world a (bit) better place than it was, help bring awareness for security, and in doing so, get more people behind positive, important initiatives join forces and make them happen. Ideally, with lots of meaningful relationships build along the way, and where possible, always with a smile on everyone’s face!
Session
Things are broken and they dance around. Which things and how broken they are in security? We've been fixing cyber for years, but there are more and more issues, more ways to break things. Come to this interactive session and share what frustrates you the most about security.
