{"code":"GRETEG","title":"Workshop Flamethrower 101","speakers":["DYLG3T"],"submission_type":3,"track":4,"tags":[],"state":"confirmed","abstract":"In this 90 min workshop, you will build and test your own propane flamethrower. You can buy a kit from us or bring your own parts. We will use a tried-and-tested design. We will start with the theory and principles behind propane flame effects, followed by how to play safely with big flames. The second part is the guided, hands-on, step-by-step process of building your own. At the end, we will test the flamethrowers in a nearby area.","description":"The workshop has 8 to 10  tables for building available. Please let me know via why2025@area42.industries if you would like to attend and build so that we can reserve a table for you.  \r\n\r\nWe can provide complete kits at cost, and we will also provide a limited amount of propane for testing. Please note that if you bring your own kit, we cannot guarantee that it will fit together and work reliably.  Building flamethrowers is mainly a plumbing problem: getting the right fittings and materials is the key.  \r\n\r\nThe kit details are available in this [google doc](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lnqjfUdFHPhpqA8Jq59G56lh4KdznPbwPEVS6Ctg960/edit?usp=sharing)\r\n\r\nIf you want us to provide the kit at cost, please contact me at why2025@area42.industries. I expect the cost to be between 200-250 euros. If you just need the fire extinguisher then let me know as well.","duration":90,"slot_count":2,"content_locale":"en","do_not_record":false,"image":"http://program.why2025.org/media/why2025/submissions/GRETEG/fh_mch2022_edited_wKhpMDG.jpg","resources":[],"slots":[13294,13336],"answers":[]}
